Mission<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Agriculture contributes to ensuring food security by providing plant raw materials for food production. They also play an important role in circular bioeconomy by offering a viable alternative to fossil fuels. In addition, soil and agricultural plants are places of organic carbon sequestration.<\/p>\r\n

The Institute\u2019s mission is to conduct research for the sustainable production of agricultural plant raw materials in order to ensure food security and mitigate adverse environmental and climate changes.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Primary strategic objectives<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

The Institute\u2019s research objects are:<\/p>\r\n

    \r\n
  1. Soil.<\/li>\r\n
  2. Plant and plant raw material of agricultural origin.<\/li>\r\n
  3. Soil and plant microorganisms.<\/li>\r\n
  4. Atmosphere and greenhouse gases.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n

    The Institute\u2019s primary strategic objectives are:<\/p>\r\n

      \r\n
    1. Ensuring proper conditions for the cultivation of agricultural plants.<\/li>\r\n
    2. Ensuring high quality food of plant origin.<\/li>\r\n
    3. Mitigating the effects of climate change.<\/li>\r\n
    4. Developing circular bioeconomy.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n

      Strategy<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

      Major social and economic issues which are the subject of the Institute’s mission and strategic objectives, have their source in physical, chemical and biological processes on a molecular scale. Therefore, the implementation of strategic objectives involves studying the phenomena occurring in the soil-plant-atmosphere system on a molecular to macroscopic scale with the use of knowledge from various disciplines of agricultural and natural sciences.<\/p>\r\n

      The strategic objectives of the Institute are implemented through:<\/p>\r\n

        \r\n
      1. Interdisciplinary research and development.<\/li>\r\n
      2. Building the Institute’s scientific potential by providing scientists with good career opportunities.<\/li>\r\n
      3. Cooperating with public and private sector entities.<\/li>\r\n
      4. Publishing research results in scientific journals.<\/li>\r\n
      5. Legal protection of inventions and their commercialization.<\/li>\r\n
      6. Dissemination of research results and communication with the public.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n
