Katarzyna Szewczuk-Karpisz, prof. IA PAN\u00a0 entitled &#8220;EU Green Deal realization through the application of innovative hydrogel materials based on biopolymers and sorbents for agricultural needs&#8221; has been accepted for funding under the MSCA4Ukraine scheme.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-57801 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ipan.lublin.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Obraz1-1.png?_t=1744710461\" alt=\"\" width=\"605\" height=\"340\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ipan.lublin.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Obraz1-1.png 605w, https:\/\/www.ipan.lublin.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Obraz1-1-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/www.ipan.lublin.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Obraz1-1-539x303.png 539w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 605px) 100vw, 605px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Out of over 500 applications, the European Commission decided to finance 49 researchers (2 PhD students, 47 post-docs). From 15 different countries hosting researchers within the scheme, Poland was ranked second. Among the Polish institutions whose projects were submitted for funding were the Warsaw University of Technology, the Jagiellonian University and four institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The project will last 2 years, and the funds granted will cover both the costs of employing the scholarship holder and the costs of the planned research.
