The results of the 6th scientific contest in the frame of NCBiR LIDER Program<\/a> have already been announced! On the basis of the ranking list drawn up as a result of the qualification procedure, it was decided to co-finance 34 projects. The total amount of funding is 39 408 182.24 z\u0142.<\/span><\/p>\n

Among the winners we can find PhD Monika Szyma\u0144ska-Chargot<\/strong> from Intitute of Agrophysics with her project “Development of a method biodegradable nanocomposite preparation based on nanocellulose derived from fruit and vegetable waste”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The granted sum\u00a0reaches 1 200 000,00 z\u0142.<\/p>\n

The subject of this project will be the development of the preparation method of a new biodegradable nanocomposite with antibacterial properties. This nanocomposite will\u00a0 be based on biopolymers used in packaging industry, reinforced by nanocellulose modified with metal or metal oxide nanoparticles. Innovative application of nanocellulose modified with inorganic nanoparticles to biopolymers will avail to obtain nanocomposite with antibacterial properties safe for health and the environment.<\/p>\n
