W dniu 27.10.2023 o godzinie 11:00 Prof. Dr. Milena Kercheva wygłosi wykład pt. “Soil structural characteristics of Bulgarian soils under different land use”.

Professor Milena Kercheva is head of the Department of Physics, Erosion, Soil Biota at the Institute of Soil Science, Agrotechnology and Plant Protection “N. Poushkarov” in Sofia, Bulgaria. Milena Kercheva has BSc degree in physics, MSc in meteorology, and PhD in soil science. Prof. Kercheva is author and co-author of more than 100 publications in the field of soil physics, agrometeorology and simulation modelling. Her main scientific interests are in the assessment of: soil physical properties (hydraulic, structural and thermal) under different land use and anthropogenic impacts; components of water and heat balances of soil-plant-atmosphere continuum; agroecological risks related to soil water balance. She participated in 12 international projects. Prof. Kercheva has a long-term collaboration with the Agrophysical Institute in Lublin, Poland under the exchange agreement on scientific cooperation between the Polish and the Bulgarian academies of sciences.
