Research profile:

  • Bioremediation: phyto- and entomoremediation,
  • Application of insects for valorization of waste biomass, including contaminated biomass and particularly difficult to manage,
  • Insect frass as biofertilizer,
  • Micro- and nanoplastics in the soil-plant-insect system,
  • Determination of the plants ability to immobilize xenobiotics, also in a co-polluted environment,
  • Bioaccumulation of technologically critical elements in living organisms, especially in insects,
  • Identification of structural and molecular responses of crop plants to the presence of abiotic stress factors and determination of the effect of soil modifiers as a means of protection against environmental stress factors,
  • Detection and characterization of proteins and other markers regulating molecular mechanisms of plants in variable environmental conditions,
  • Visualization of processes related to intracellular transport of particles and organelles as responses to the presence of soil stress factors.
