The Laboratory conducts research on moisture and salinity of soil using TDR (time domain reflectometry) and FDR (frequency domain reflectometry) sensors of custom design, and also constructs and develops prototype sensors (ion-selective, redox potential, humidity, salinity, oxygenation, etc.) used to measure the physical and chemical properties of soils and other materials of agricultural origin.
